School Dates: June 22 through June 26, 2026.
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Location: Watsonville Buddhist Temple, 423 Bridge Street, Watsonville.
Ages: Students who have completed kindergarten through the 6th grade. In the registration form, please indicate the school grade that the child will have completed by June 2026.
How to Register: Fill out completely and submit the form below for each child you wish to register.
Tuition: $400 per student ($380 for additional siblings) if registration and payment is received by April 1, 2026 or $450 ($427.50 for additional siblings) after April 1, 2026. Please take advantage of the early-bird special! Tuition is non-refundable once the child has been admitted even if the child does not attend.

Class Assignments: Classes may be multi-age groups, based on enrollment numbers and teacher availability. Class groups will move together throughout the day to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities focused on Japanese arts, culture, language, food, and games. Class assignments and schedules will be distributed prior to or on the first day of Gakko.
Enrollment Priority and Waiting List: There are typically 10 students in each Gakko class. If registration for a particular class or age group exceeds classroom size, returning student status and then registration and payment date will be used to prioritize enrollment and establish a waiting list, if necessary.
Family Commitments: This special summer program is a parent co-operative that is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. All families are required to participate fully in the program and on committees to maintain the quality of the program. A sign up sheet will be distributed after registration closes. Donations to help support the day-to-day running of Gakko and the farmers market will be requested, and volunteers are sought. If interested, please email kokornogakkowatsonville@gmail.com.
